Joel's Antiques had its humble beginnings in a rural town near the eastern shores of Wisconsin. Joel and Marilyn had spent years working together in construction until the economy took a downturn. However, Joel's newfound passion for working with reclaimed materials led to the birth of Joel's Antiques and Reclaimed Decor.

During their time in construction, they often encountered old barns that had lost their purpose. These barns, once family farms, were no longer in use, and the families no longer wanted them. Seeking a new direction due to Joel's back problems and the struggling economy, they began repurposing the lumber from these old barns. This eventually led to the creation of picture frames and shelving, with Marilyn's encouragement.

In 2011, Joel's Antiques and Reclaimed Decor, LLC officially began with just two people, but has since grown to a team of six dedicated individuals. Quality shelving and excellent service are at the core of this company, with a commitment to customer satisfaction. Each piece is made one at a time, using old-fashioned methods to ensure durability that stands the test of time.
